As a component of the Train-the-Trainers course on developing environmental law teaching programs, participants were taken on a site visit to the Inayawan Landfill in Cebu City to discuss legal issues arising from law enforcement options and rights of citizens and indigenous people in the area. The following photos document the conditions of the facility and workers at the site. The Inayawan Landfill was reopened 28 June 2016 and has sparked debates and concerns on health, pollution and environmental issues given its location near Cebu City’s mangrove forests and coastline.
